It is mostly used to ensure that the business uses proper regulatory compliance, offloading large volumes of past data from other email programs, etc.
Therefore, Enterprise Vault helps organizations manage their emails. But nowadays, the use of cloud-based programs like Microsoft 365 is increasing. Therefore, businesses are shifting to Office 365 for better email management.
Why Use Microsoft 365 Over Enterprise Vault?
Microsoft 365 is a popular cloud-based productivity and collaboration suite used by many companies. Because of its advanced features and secure cloud services, many organizations prefer this to organize their data. Why is that?
- Traditionally, you need dedicated hardware for the Enterprise vault. So, sometimes handling and upgrading your data is difficult. But, by moving the EV data into Microsoft 365, the process would be much easier.
- Office 365 provides you with features like In-Place Archive, Retention Policies, and Litigation Hold for smooth data governance.
- Expanding Enterprise Vault storage is a challenging task. However, in Microsoft 365, it is much easier to scale users and storage.
- Your EV data is available on a particular hardware. By moving your data to O365, you can access it on any device or platform.
